Pomodoro Timer

Free · no signup · runs entirely in your browser

The Pomodoro Technique is simple: work in focused chunks, take a real break, repeat. This timer runs the whole cycle for you — Focus, Short Break, Long Break — with a start/pause/reset/skip control set and a visible countdown so you're not guessing how much time is left.

It defaults to the standard 25-minute focus block with a 5-minute short break and a 15-minute long break every 4 rounds, but every one of those numbers is editable in Settings if the classic split doesn't fit how you work. Type what you're focusing on into the task field, hit start, and it tracks your session count and daily streak automatically — that state is saved in your browser's local storage, so it's still there next time you open the tab, but it never leaves your machine.

No signup, no app to install, no ads interrupting the countdown. When a focus block or break ends you get an on-page toast and, if you grant permission, a browser notification — so you can tab away and still get pulled back on time.

How to use it

  1. Optionally type what you're working on into the 'Working on' field, and adjust Focus / Short Break / Long Break minutes in Settings if you don't want the 25/5/15 default.
  2. Hit START to begin the countdown. Use pause, reset, or skip anytime — the mode buttons (Focus / Short Break / Long Break) let you jump between phases manually too.
  3. Keep working through cycles — the session dots and streak counter track your progress automatically, and a toast (plus a browser notification, if allowed) tells you when it's time to switch.

Worked example

Leave the defaults as-is, type 'write the report' into the task field, and hit START. You get a 25-minute focus countdown; when it hits zero a toast says 'Pomodoro Complete! Take a well-deserved break' and the timer flips to a 5-minute Short Break automatically. After 4 focus rounds it switches to a 15-minute Long Break instead.

FAQ

Can I change the 25/5/15 minute defaults?

Yes. Open Settings and set Focus, Short Break, and Long Break to whatever minute values you want (up to 90/30/60 respectively). Your custom values are saved in your browser for next time.

Does it track my sessions or send data anywhere?

It tracks your session count and daily streak, but that data is stored only in your browser's local storage — it's never uploaded or sent to a server. Clearing your browser data resets it.

Will it notify me if I switch to another tab?

Yes, if you grant browser notification permission when prompted. Without that permission you still get an on-page toast when the timer's tab is active.

Do I need to create an account or install anything?

No. It's a free browser-based timer — no signup, no app, no extension. Open it and start the clock.
